The Remixing Media, ©ritiquing ©ulture FIG is currently accepting submissions from artists for the first ever UO ©ritical A®t Show, which is an event that brings together student and community artists. The event is organized and curated by a group of 20 first-year students in a FIG (freshman interest group), the FIG Assistant, Madeleine Jones, and their instructor Andre´ Sirois (DJ food stamp).  This call for submissions is open to everybody!

Behind the Lens, presents a series of films featuring children.

These are not stories for children, but, rather, stories about children. Some of the world’s great filmmakers are represented in stories exploring the experiences of children who face challenges, both within their own families as well as in the outside world.

Cinema Studies is honored to welcome award-winning director and UO alum James Ivory ’51 as the keynote speaker of the program’s commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 12:30 p.m. in Straub Hall 156

James Ivory graduated in 1951 from the University of Oregon and went on to achieve international success as one of the most influential and respected film directors of his generation.
