UO class papers, projects, and theses for 4 terms (Winter 2016 through Fall 2016) are eligible.
Recommendations are needed from class instructors, so identify your best work and talk to your professors.
Study Film in New York City in Summer 2017
Cinema in New York City is a new study away program offered by Portland State Film in Summer 2017.
In this program, students will enroll in two courses, for 8 credit hours, and travel to Manhattan for two weeks to study New York film history and culture, and produce their own short films.
Travel Dates: June 24-July 8, 2017

Cinema Studies collecting canned food donations for "Stuff the Bus," benefiting Food for Lane County
Chi Psi fraternity is proud to pair with 104.7 KDUK, Lane Transit District, and Eugene / Springfield area Wal-Mart stores to bring KDUK's 21st annual "Stuff the Bus" to the EMU and the University of Oregon, with donations benefiting Food for Lane County (FFLC).
Study Filmmaking and Cinema Studies in Dublin, Ireland — Summer 2017

Summer 2017 (June 25th – July 29th)
The Dublin, Ireland Study Abroad Program is designed for students who want to immerse themselves in cinema studies in Ireland. Students in this 5-week program will get to work both critically and creatively, taking two courses on contemporary Irish cinema and digital filmmaking.

Call for Filmmakers – 4th Annual EFS 72-Hour Horror Film Competition
From October 20 – 23, regional filmmakers are invited to compete to produce the best 2 – 3 minute horror film within 72 hours, incorporating a mandated line of dialogue and prop.
Films submitted by deadline will be screened by a jury of media professionals and a public audience at Regal Cinemas Valley River 15. The film selected “Jury Prize” winner will receive a $1,000 cash prize, and the film voted “Audience Award” winner at the screening event will also receive a $500 cash prize.
- REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, October 19th at 11:59pm
- COMPETITION KICK-OFF: Thursday, October 20 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Level Up
- COMPLETED FILMS DUE: Sunday, October 23 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm, drop-off at The Barn Light Cafe & Bar downtown
