Professional Organizations

ASIFA-Portland (International Animated Film Association):   “ASIFA Portland is the Portland, Oregon chapter of the International Animated Film Society: Association International du Film d'Animation. Our group exists to boost the art of animation and the community that practices it, promoting a free exchange of ideas both locally and internationally.”

The Hollywood Theatre: The Hollywood Theatre is a Portland landmark with a national reputation for award-winning film programming, innovative educational programs, and providing fiscal support for local filmmakers. We show classic and contemporary films, host live performances and special guests, and produce innovative film series like Hecklevision, B-Movie Bingo, and Kung Fu Theater.”

Mid-Oregon Production Arts Network (MOPAN):  “is an economic development association for media production professionals centered in and near Lane County, Oregon, and is a non-profit, volunteer group.”

Northwest Documentary Arts and Media:  Mission is “to create, instruct, and share the art of non-fiction documentary storytelling.”

PAM CUT (Formerly Northwest Film Center:  Founded in 1971 as the Northwest Film Center, PAM CUT is a Portland, OR-based year-round organization that expands the reach of cinema as an art form and challenges for whom, by whom, and how stories can be told.

Northwest Screenwriters Guild:  “The mission of the Northwest Screenwriters Guild is to promote professional screenwriting as a career across a broad range of ages, ethnic and gender identities, and experience levels in the Pacific Northwest, by providing access to industry professionals, educational programs, and mentoring.”

Southern Oregon Film and Media (SOFaM):  “is a professional trade and networking association and the primary liaison for film and media activity in Southern Oregon. The mission of SOFaM is to support, expand, and promote the production, education, and economic impact of film and media in Southern Oregon.”
