Narrative Short Officialy Selected to Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference

Congratulations to Cinema Studies Career Filmmaker and Instructor in Narrative Production, Jerell Rosales, on the world premiere of his latest narrative short film, THE TERRORIST, officially selected to the 27th Annual Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference. 

The film will premiere virtually October 25th in “Shorts Program 4: Find Your Shorts” starting at 7:30 p.m. (PST) / 9:30 p.m. (CDT) alongside a pre-recorded Q&A with the filmmakers.

Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference (AFF), an Academy Qualifying festival, is the premier film festival recognizing the writers’ contributions to film, television, and new media. AFF announced the full schedule of films and panels for the 27th annual Festival, this October 22-29, to be held exclusively online. AFF also plays host to the largest screenwriters conference in the world, featuring over 200 panelists and panels that, along with film and television, now also explore storytelling mediums such as plays, podcasts, and digital series. Past participants of the Festival & Conference include Robert Altman, Robert Duvall, Greta Gerwig, Susannah Grant, Buck Henry, Walter Hill, Barry Josephson, Lawrence Kasdan, Sydney Pollack, Natalie Portman, Harold Ramis, Susan Sarandon, Gary Shandling, Caroline Thompson, Keenen Ivory Wayans, Larry Wilmore, to name just a few.
