Sam Bailey Storytelling Workshop Registration


Register to attend a workshop with Sam Bailey—director of the Brown Girls web series—that brings together students from Cinema Studies, Ethnic Studies and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. 

Learn how to tell stories that matter to you and strengthen your own media-making/social justice goals. The workshop will be held Thursday, February 8th from 9–11 a.m. in McKenzie 375.  Pre-registration is required, and space is limited.  Registration deadline is 8 am, Thursday, January 25, 2018.

Deadline to register:  8 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 – Registration is now closed.
Space is limited and on a first-come, first served basis to include a mix of majors from Cinema Studies, Ethnic Studies, and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. 

Important:  Watch your email on Friday, January 26th. You will receive notice whether you have a seat in the workshop and will need to confirm in order to reserve it.

Sam Bailey is a writer and director from Chicago, currently residing in Los Angeles. She is the creator of the Gotham-nominated web series:  You’re So Talented. In 2016, Sam was included on NewCity's Film 50 list. Sam is the director and co-creator of the web series Brown Girls. The series was nominated for an Emmy in Outstanding Short Form Comedy or Drama Series-2017. Her work has been reviewed and featured on many platforms including Elle, W Magazine, Fox News, and Out Magazine
