Cinema Pacific

Cinema Pacific is an annual film festival based at the University of Oregon in Eugene that is devoted to discovering and fostering the creativity of international films and new media from Pacific-bordering countries, including the U.S.

Through onsite and online presentations, the festival connects stimulating artists and ideas with a diverse public, furthering our understanding of world cultures and contemporary issues. The festival runs April 27 - May 3, 2015.  Please visit the Cinema Pacific website for more information or refer to the Cinema Pacific Program Guide

  • BAD EXORCISTS: With director Kyle Steinbach, Zach Shivers, Collin Davis, and more special guests at 6:30 p.m. in 145 Straub Hall on the University of Oregon campus.  Tickets: $6 students/seniors, $8 general public.
  • ADRENALINE FILM PROJECT SCREENING AND AFTER PARTY:  Hosted by Jeff Wadlow, Leigh Kilton-Smith, and Omar Naim at 9:15 p.m. in 156 Straub Hall on the University of Oregon campus.  Tickets: $7 students and seniors; $10 general public.
  • A TOUCH OF ZEN:  7:00 p.m. at at the Bijou Art Cinemas.  Tickets: $6 students/seniors, $8 general public.
  • FILMS OF JAMES BLUE: UO AND BEYOND:  4:00 p.m. in the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.  Free.
  • JONAS MEKAS’S WALDEN:  7:00 p.m. in the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.  Free.  With guest speaker Dr. Scott MacDonald.

  • ONCE UPON A TIME IN CHINA:  8:00 p.m. in the Bijou Art Cinemas. Tickets: $6 students/seniors, $8 general public.

  • AVANT-GARDENS: LANDSCAPE IN EXPERIMENTAL FILM:  Four short films presented by Dr. Scott MacDonald.  3:30 p.m. in PLC 180.  Free.
  • TALL AS THE BAOBAB TREE:  With Jeremy Teicher, Alexi Pappas, and Jay Smith.  6:45 p.m. in the Bijou Art Cinemas.  Tickets: $6 students/seniors, $8 general public.
