The Eugene Film Society presents:
The 2016 EFS 72 Hour Music Video Competition
May 18 – 22, 12 regional filmmakers will compete to produce the best 3–5 minute music video within 72 hours using songs produced by local musicians.
Registration for filmmakers interested in competing in the 72 Hour Music Video Competition is due by Friday, May 13 at 11:59 pm PST.
From the pool of registered filmmakers, 12 will be selected for competition. There is a $10 registration fee for filmmakers.
After registering, selected filmmakers and musicians will be formally invited to attend a meet-&-greet at Sam Bond’s Brewing at The Foundry (540 E 8th Ave) on May 18th from 5:30-7:00 pm. At the meet-&-greet, participants will exchange concepts for music videos then will be asked to rank each other before filmmakers are assigned songs for video production. At the kick-off event at Sam Bond’s Brewing at The Foundry on May 19th from 5:30-7:00 pm, filmmakers will be notified of their designated song and be given 72 hours to shoot, edit and submit a music video for it. The Barn Light and Sam Bond’s Brewing will host a competition screening of submitted films at a neighborhood block party on Sunday, May 22nd from 7:00-10:00pm. Patrons of the event will be eligible to vote for their favorite music video and determine an “Audience Award” winner. Both the “Jury Prize” and “Audience Award” winners will be announced at the competition screening.
