The qualified student will have experience in researching and writing articles and using social media to promote and expand readership for a company, club, or organization. Excellent writing and time management skills, as well as experience managing projects, are required for this position.

Qualified students will have entry- to intermediate-level experience utilizing Adobe InDesign and Photoshop and have experience creating and producing a variety of print and digital marketing materials.

The University of Oregon and the IME Becas Scholarship Program is a joint effort between the Office of Admissions, the Division of Undergraduate Studies, the Office of International Affairs and the Consulate of Mexico in Portland. The funds are intended to support a diverse student population at the University of Oregon, and provide financial support to students with costs related to attending the university. Through this partnership, UO-IME seeks to expand the opportunities of higher education among the Mexican population. In this edition, we are offering eight (8) awards of $5,000.00 each.

Zhao will engage in a two-week university residency during spring term 2018 and will be involved in a variety of campus activities, including teaching workshops and mentoring students in the CINE 408 “Art of Directing” course, as well as participating in public conversations and hosting film screenings.
