Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship

Are you planning to study abroad in the next year (Summer 2020, Fall 2020, Winter/Spring 2021) and have the Pell Grant as part of your FAFSA financial aid?

If so, apply to the Gilman Scholarship. It is available exclusively to Pell Grant recipients, and the amount can be up to $5,000.

The deadline for the award is March 3, 2020.

This scholarship provides up to $5,000 for undergraduates to pursue study abroad and/or international internships. Applicants must be U.S. citizens (permanent residents are not eligible) and must be receiving (or provide proof that they will receive) a Federal Pell Grant. The Gilman seeks to fund students who have been traditionally under-represented in study abroad and those who choose non-traditional study abroad destinations. Additional funds (up to $3,000) may be awarded to students studying critical need languages.
