Cecilia Montel

Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Cecilia Montiel graduated from Lima’s Escuela de Diseno with an emphasis in environmental design. Cecilia Montiel has worked as a production designer, art director and prop creator for numerous major motion pictures. After creating props for REPO MAN and STRAIGHT TO HELL, Montiel was invited to work as Art Director on Alex Cox’s film WALKER; she was Production Designer for most of Cox’s subsequent films, including HIGHWAY PATROLMAN, REVENGERS TRAGEDY, and  Montiel also designed THE MASK OF ZORRO and THE LEGEND OF ZORRO (director Martin Campbell) as well as FROM DUSK TIL DAWN and DESPERADO (Robert Rodriguez). Cecilia Montiel has been based in Venice, California for the last 25 years and travels back and forth to Mexico and Perú.
