Research Interests

My research interests include the intersection between South Korean national film and literary studies and their transnational or transpacific circulations. Alongside questions of how such national literary production performs the labor of inscribing its borders, I am interested in the transnational communities these works engender that counter-intuits the national space-time. Other interests include biopolitics, border theory, cultural studies, affect, new media, comics, and narrative theory.
