RED Camera Workshop PosterThis discussion will provide a high-level overview of the capabilities of RED’s professional DSMC2 (Digital Stills and Motion Camera) system and hands-on experience with the company’s latest product innovations.  In this workshop, we will shoot a short scene and experiment with shooting high frame rate and high resolution footage under a variety of lighting conditions.

RED Digital Cinema is a privately-held global company that specializes in professional-grade digital cameras. Used to shoot for both motion and stills, RED’s cameras have become an industry leader throughout the movie, photography, and broadcast industries.

*Note:  Preference will be given to Cinema Studies majors, juniors and seniors, who:

  • have not previously attended a RED Camera Workshop

  • have expressed serious interest in and/or had experience with cinematography

  • submit a shooter’s reel

Meeting all listed standards does not automatically mean you will be accepted for attendance. Seats are limited. Students will be notified of the status of their application status by Monday, October 23rd.
