EFS 72-Hour Music Video Competition: Call for Filmmakers and Song-makers

COMPETITION OVERVIEW

From July 13-16, regional filmmakers and musicians will compete to produce the best music video within 72 hours, incorporating a mandated creative element.

Films submitted by deadline will be screened by a jury of media professionals and a public audience on July 22. The film selected “Jury Prize” winner will receive a $500 cash prize, and the film voted “Audience Award” winner at the screening event will also receive a $500 cash prize.

This year there are three ways to participate:

  • Musicians are invited to submit as many songs as they like (for a $5 submission fee per song) by July 1.  All songs submitted by deadline (July 1) will be made available as they are received to registered filmmaking teams, who will then select the song they wish to create a video for. Songs must be no longer than 5 minutes, and submissions are being accepted now using the link below.
  • Filmmakers are invited to register and choose a song from the song submission pool by July 6th. Registration fee for filmmaking teams is $20. Once you have registered as a filmmaker, you will receive a link to a private playlist with the available songs. This playlist will be continually updated as more songs submissions are accepted.
  • This year, musicians and filmmakers also have the option to register together as a team for $35. Registration for this option is open now until July 12th.

Register early, as participation is limited to the first 30 filmmaking teams to register.
