Education

B.A., Journalism, Religious Studies, and History, University of Oregon, 2006
M.Ed., Education, University of Oregon, 2010

Biography

I graduated from UO first in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Religious Studies and History, and then again in 2010 with a Master's of Education. After my second degree, I taught high school locally, worked at KVAL-TV, and free lanced working on a variety of documentaries and productions in the area. In 2012, I began working in the Cinema Studies Program and eventually began managing the Equipment Checkout Room and the Cinema Studies Lab. I'm also a Career Instructor and teach a variety of Cinema Studies production classes including the Avid Certification course.

Research Statement

I'm an active free lancer working on films and media projects at UO and in the Eugene area more broadly. In addition to filming and editing, I'm also an Avid Certified Instructor and am one of the only certified Avid Media Composer instructors in the state. I am deeply interested in editing both as a technical endeavor and as an art.
