Dear Cinema Studies Alumni,

We hope this greeting finds you happy, healthy, and enjoying your summer at this unusual time. After a busy spring term of remote learning and planning, Cinema Studies is excited to take time to connect–and reconnect–with our alumni!

Whether you're a recent graduate or have been away from UO for some time, we hope you can join us for a virtual happy hour Thursday, August 20th from 5 to 6 p.m. (PDT) on Zoom. The casual get together will be hosted by Department Head Priscilla Peña Ovalle, Assistant Professor Masami Kawai, and Associate Professor Daniel Gómez Steinhart. This will be a great opportunity for alumni involved in all aspects of film, television, and media to gather and build a stronger UO cinema community. 

While we wish we could meet in person, there is one benefit to our new, socially-distanced reality: we can now “meet” you, wherever you may be! If you would like to attend the virtual happy hour, please check your email soon for more information and to RSVP so we can send you the Zoom link. In the meantime, if you don't receive the email or have any questions, please contact us at cinema@uoregon.edu.
