The Portland Internship Experience

The Portland Internship Experience is an exclusive opportunity for UO undergraduates to gain professional experience through an internship while making a difference in the community. Students will get a $5,000 stipend while working at a small business, non-profit, civic or educational organization in the Portland area.

Ari Purnama, assistant professor of Cinema Studies at the University of Oregon, talks about growing up in Indonesia and what led to his interest in film studies and filmmaking. He discusses his approach to his scholarship as well as his practice as a filmmaker. Purnama recommends a film that he finds especially interesting.

Study Filmmaking & Cinema Studies in Dublin, Ireland
Summer 2022: June 26 to July 29
Open to all majors!
Taught by Cinema Studies Associate Professor Michael Aronson, this summer study abroad program is designed for students who want to immerse themselves in cinema studies in Ireland. Students in this 5-week program will get to work both critically and creatively, taking a course on contemporary Irish cinema and digital filmmaking.
