The Eugene Film Society and Lane Community College Media Arts present the EFS 72 Hour Horror Film Competition

Competition Kick-Off: Oct 23rd
Audience Award Screening and Voting: Oct 31st, Bijou Art Cinemas
From October 23rd – 26th, local filmmakers will be challenged to produce a 2 – 3 minute short horror film incorporating a mandated line of dialogue and prop.
Films submitted by deadline will be screened in front of a jury of film critics/professionals and an audience at the Bijou Art Cinemas. The film selected “Jury Prize” winner will receive a $1,000 investment ($500 cash + $500 in rental credit at Cascade Production Rentals) to produce a 15 minute short horror film to premiere at the 2015 EFS Screening & Social. The film selected “Audience Award” winner will also receive a $1,000 investment ($500 cash + $500 in rental credit at Cascade Production Rentals) to produce a 15 minute short horror film to premiere at the 2015 EFS Screening & Social.
Registration for the competition is due by Tuesday, October 21st
The “Jury Prize” winning film will premiere during the Bijou Metro’s special presentation of The Exorcist on Friday, October 31st.
An “Audience Award” screening will be held at the Bijou Art Cinemas also on Friday, October 31st. Patrons of the event will be eligible to vote for their favorite submission. The “Audience Award” winner will be announced on November 2nd.
